You may have recently noticed that there is a new icon for Microsoft Edge, and it contains a little "briefcase" icon next to the Microsoft Edge logo:


This is due to a recent update from Microsoft that is rolled into the regular updates that they push out.


If you would like to turn it off, do the following:

  1. In Edge, click the “…” at the top right, and then click Settings. 
  2. In settings, search for “briefcase” at the top left.
  3. Scroll down on the right, and toggle this row off:
  4. Then, restart your browser


This should remove the icon immediately, but if it doesn't, you may need to restart your computer.
