Periodically, you may need to clear your cookies and cache from Microsoft Edge/Google Chrome. This allows the websites you visit to load new data and update any existing authentication tokens (the thing that lets you stay logged in when you revisit a webpage.) The following will help you do that for both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome:
Microsoft Edge
- At the top right, click on the 3 dots, and then at the bottom click on Settings:
- On the left, click on "Privacy, search, and services"
- On the right, scroll down and click on "Choose what to Clear" under the "Clear browsing data" section:
- In the box that appears, do the following:
- Click the "Time Range" and change it to "All time"
- Check the boxes for "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files"
- Click "Clear now" at the bottom
- Close Edge and open it again. Now your cookies and cache have been cleared.
Google Chrome
- Just like in Microsoft Edge, click the 3 dots at the top right, and go down to settings:
- On the left of the settings menu, click "Privacy and Security"
- Then click "Clear browsing data" under the Privacy and Security section:
- In the window that appears, do the following:
- Click the Basic tab at the top
- Change the Time Range to "All Time"
- Check the boxes for both "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached Images and Files"
- Then click Clear data at the bottom
- Close Google Chrome and open it again. Now your cookies and cache have been cleared.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this process, and have a great day!
