The VPN (Virtual Private Network) is an enhanced internet connection that allows you to pretend you're in the office without actually being in the office. As such, it will also not work when you're in the office.
This article will show you how to connect to the VPN.
- When you login to your laptop, go to the Start Menu and open a folder called Cisco, and then click on the “Cisco Anyconnect” program
- When that opens, make sure it says this in the dropdown field:

- If it doesn’t, please input: vpn.burgsimpson.com
- Click Connect
- If prompted, put in your login information (username and password, not the PIN) that you would use in the office
- It should then connect to the VPN
Common Issues when connecting:
- When I try to connect, it says "Login Failed"
- This probably means that your password has expired. Please email the help desk (help@burgsimpson.com) to get assistance with changing your password.
- When I try to connect, it says "connection failed."
- Confirm you are not in the office. The VPN will not work when in the office
- Confirm that in the box it says "vpn.burgsimpson.com". If not, please input that and try again.
- When I try to connect, it tells me about an untrusted certificate
- Click the check box to import the certificate, and then choose the "Connect Anyway" option.
