This is a quick guide on how to reset the office printers. Be sure to check with IT before attempting these for the first time. The process for each type of printer is different, depending on the size of the printer and not necessarily the models.

Small Office Printers

  1. Press and Hold the power button on the black box behind the printer until it turns off and the red display is no longer lit
  2. Press the power button on the top right of the screen
  3. Choose the "Shutdown" option
  4. Wait for the printer to turn completely off, including any flashing lights
  5. Press the power button on the black box briefly. Wait until the black box makes a quick beep sound.
  6. Press the power button on the top right of the screen
  7. Wait for printer to fully boot up. This process takes about 5 minutes

This printer should now start printing it's backlog. If it doesn't, please reach out to the help desk at help@burgsimpson.com

Large Office Printers

  1. Briefly press the power button on the front right of the printer. It should be under a little flap.
    • This should initiate the turn off sequence
  2. Wait for all lights on the printer and screen to turn off
  3. Once the printer has been turned off, confirm that the Black Box in the back is also off
    • If it's not, hold down the power button until it is
  4. Turn the black box in the back on, and wait for an audible beep noise
  5. Turn the printer back on with the power button on the front right of the printer
  6. Wait for printer to fully boot up. This process takes about 5 minutes

This printer may potentially print it's backlog, but these printers have a tendency to wipe the backlog of print jobs. If nothing comes out of the printer in a reasonable amount of time, please reach out to the help desk at help@burgsimpson.com.. We'll be able to let you know if it's just in the queue, or if you'll need to re-print all your pending jobs.

This concludes the step-by-step process to reset an office printer at the Inverness location or The Point location.
